Here and Back Again…

It’s been a while since i’ve written. Just didn’t want to get in on the ups and downs of the process anymore. So 6 weeks ago I started on a Testosterone treatment. On Monday I’m going to see my doctor and request a release to work.

It wasn’t just the testosterone. I also switched migraine medicines within the last two weeks and that is helping a lot as well. I now am more likely to feel tired than fatigued – though I still feel both. Mostly though i’m just ungodly weak from simply being unable to exercise.

It didn’t matter what I do – work up slowly or quickly, hold a lower level of activity over time, push through a mild case of fatigue, etc… In the end I always wound up laid up for days. I simply couldn’t exercise. At all.

I’m not all the way back, but i’m so much better than i’ve been in so long. When I first started on the Testosterone, I initially felt almost immediate relief from a constant aching that I experienced. But the fatigue stuck. It really stuck for the first month with one small break in the middle – which it turned out I overdid and spiraled right back into fatigue.

But now, while I feel weary and tired, I don’t feel the same discomfort i’ve been feeling constantly for months. And actually for 5 years I have not been able to exercise without being laid up for a bit. It was just so much worse in the last 6 to 8 months.

So soon i’ll be back. And i’m already seeing faster recovery from activity. Though this morning I pushed it maybe a tad far. So my back is killing me at a minimum. Doesn’t matter. Because based on how I feel and how i’m improving, I think by mid August I will feel the best I have felt in over 6 years.

Hurrah for me! Thanks for your patience and understanding. I’ll add more thoughts later if I can.
