I have a good feeling about 2017. I’m getting married. I’m checking out a new career path or seven. But god damn this would have been a nice way to end 2016 with Sleater-Kinney, The Thermals, and Britt Daniel of Spoon covering David Bowie! Let’s do this 2017!

Sad13 – Less Than 2
I’m a big fan of Speedy Ortiz front lady Sadie Dupuis. Besides making good music, she’s an overall inspiring artist and feminist. Her latest project is a solo music project Sad13. In any case, this video is well worth your time on many fronts. Also, an interview with Sadie. And here she picks some of her favorite music on bandcamp.
The Sueves – Wish List
Some good garage punk for ya. The Sueves have a new lp coming out. And they are playing Pittsburgh next Wednesday @ Spirit. So check em out.
Gland – Cram It
This new video from Gland is pretty great. I’ll save the commentary. Let the music, film, and The Le Sigh do the talking.
Andrew Bird – Left Handed Kisses (ft. Fiona Apple)
I know, Andrew Bird two days in a row. But this just really works. I missed this duet with Fiona Apple from earlier this year.
Pile – ???
Perhaps by publication time i’ll figure out the name of this song. It’s a newish song from Pile off of a tape they put out last year. I don’t have the tape and the video doesn’t list the song title. But it’s a good tune and a fine video. Enjoy!

Mecca Normal – Strong White Male +
Happy Sunday! Some classics from Mecca Normal today starting with Strong White Male.
Courtney Barnett – Elevator Operator
I missed this but Courtney Barnett released another video last month. A good track of course, but a fun video as well.
Sugar Kane – Dancing with a Fire
I believe this was another of the bands from our trip down Indonesia lane. Very Mudhoney. Is this a cover? I don’t know off hand but it would fit.
American Anymen – Selectively Stupid
This song is truly awesome. I’m happy to have been introduced to American Anymen. Some food for thought the day after our Independence Day. In case you want to navel gaze on the state of our country. I’ll dig deeper into the catalog this week to hear more and share what I discover.
